Hope & Happiness:

The role of home economics in the pursuit of hope & happiness for individuals and communities now and in the future.

The academic interest in the topic "Hope & Happiness" has recently been reflected in the government policies, and promoting hope and happiness in the people became a major issue in national affairs. The issue has been a hidden side of the international economic development over the past decades, and this implies that the level of life satisfaction for the members of the society in the areas of human relationships, working environments, and the community welfare has not been developed correspondingly.

In modern society, happiness is an important factor in determining the value of one's life.
Its pursuit becomes the ultimate goal of one's life as a member of society, and subsequently, in depth studies in obtaining hope and happiness is more meaningful than ever before, for it will provide a new form of intangible assets for our future.

In the XXIII IFHE World Congress 2016, we would examine the topic "the role of home economics in the pursuit of hope and happiness for individuals and communities now and in the future" in broad and multidisciplinary perspectives. The conference wishes to provide an opportunity to shed new light to the roles of home economics and to proclaim the future vision for the home economics scholars and home economy education specialists to fortify competence of hope & happiness.
